Formed in 2008, members from several different bands decided to collaborate and create quality Midwest punk music. Knife Jones and "Fish" Vogel (White City Black/Quiver Lip) sought out drummer Ken Wallin (Land of the El Caminos) to form the nucleus of what would soon become Anxiety High. They then recruited former drummer Jim Nagrant (Phistine Verona) to assume lead vocals. In 2009, they scooped up Aaron Cleall "Snatch" on bass (Land of the El Caminos/The Silents) to solidify the current lineup. Although they are considered fairly new on the Chicago punk scene, Anxiety High is a DIY band that has already shared the stage with local icons such as Pegboy, Teen Idols, Muchacha and The Bollweevils. Also, they were asked to participate in Riot Fest 2009, where they opened for Teenage Bottlerocket, Teen Idols and The Dead Milkmen. Tiger O'stylies celebrates St Patricks Day for 10 days prior to March 17th, Check for upcoming events in February March 3rd Rolling Rock "33" day Rolling Rock promotion w/ drink Specials and giveaways March 6th Rock Show Down To Rest, 12 Gauge Solution, Redneck Remedy Down To Rest Original Metal Band from the Midway Airport Area of Chicago with the sounds of Pantera, Disturbed, Alter Bridge, & Sevendust. They take Heavy Metal to a whole new level. Formed as a complete band in January 2009, they have managed to not only write some great sounding tracks, but have also managed to bring a fanbase from their collective previous projects and create quite a huge buzz thru interviews, local radio, TV appearances, Magazine features, good 'ol fashion networking, and playing numerous regional shows, including opening up for DORO (Doro Pesch ex-Warlock vocalist). DOWN TO REST puts on a great show in concert. The chemistry between the band members & interaction with the fans is truly amazing. These 4 individuals in “DTR” definitely have a 100% passion for the music they play, and it shows in their recorded songs & live on stage.
12 Gauge Solution of Chicago, IL was formed in April of 2008. Comprised of 5 individuals with heavy metal in their blood, the band takes aim at bringing real heavy metal back to the forefront in a place where it seems to have been forgotten and pushed aside. With the diversity of frontman Brian Kirk's screams, growls, melodic ballad, or hard out punch yelling; Chris and Andys dualing punch-to-the-face heavy guitar chugs; The old-school bass shreddings of Brian McAllister; backed by Ryans extreme heavy-hitting drumming, earth-shifting double bass, and wildly animated antics... 12 Gauge Solution is out to prove that they are a force to truly be reckoned with! Redneck Remedy Residing from Chicago's Southland in Kankakee, IL Redneck Remedy is a four piece Southern Fried Metal band that plays for the love of music and sanity. Since the band evolved in 2006 Redneck Remedy has played countless venues in the Chicago Land area, Central Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin and has proven to be a crowd favorite wherever they go. Redneck Remedy has been fortunate to share stages and venues with National Touring Bands such as Clutch, Texas Hippie Coalition and many, many more. With great lyrics from songs like "Dig Me A Hole" "Bleed" and "Consequences" to the partying/drinking songs of "Dead & Still Boozin" and "All For Another Day" Redneck Remedy gives the listeners and concert goers a sense of connection with the band and a release on everyday life, not to mention the musical ability of the band as a whole. With the 2009 self-released, self-titled 14 track album Redneck Remedy, Redneck Remedy plans on touring as often as possible to build its fan base dubbed "The Shotgun Crew" for their loudness and enthusiasm for the band helped form the band. Redneck Remedy has also started writing for their second album with plans to release it in 2010. March 13th "Rage Against the Machine" tribute Shelter Line w/ Dead Town Revival Dead Town Revival Hailing from the working class streets of the South side of Chicago, Dead Town Revival is a self-described "punk-n-roll" band with a wide ranging list of influences from punk staples such as the Misfits and Social Distortion to rock legends Led Zeppelin and country hero Johnny Cash.
